GJ Hogans

CEO & Founder - Writer

GJ Hogans grew up in New York City and had always enjoyed writing from a young age.  Early in her life she wanted to become a fashion designer and she attended the High School of Fashion Industries but, transferred to Washington Irving High School and ultimately graduated with a Regents diploma. She attended the New York Institute of Technology before enlisting in the United States Army. After her stent in the US Army was completed, she settled in Virginia where she met her husband of twenty-six years and raised a loving and wonderful family. Her life would change forever after the death of her husband in 2015. His death made her realize that life was short and precious and that the next day is never promised to anyone. His passing facilitated her decision to finally retire from her Information Technology profession of over 32 years and finally write the children’s books she had told her family and friends she would write over the years and started her company GJH Creations L.L.C. Her first foray into writing was the self-published children’s book How the Stars Got Their Twinkle (A fable to Remember).
